What is hello ink?

As the name suggests, hello ink helps in the introduction or connection of one person to another via ink on paper. We started with one personal calling card, which gained interest from friends and family who encouraged more designs.

What are calling cards ?

Calling cards or visiting cards first appeared in China in the 15th century, and in Europe in the 17th century. The footmen of aritocrats and of royalty would deliver these first European visiting cards to the servants of their prospective hosts solemnly introducing the arrival of their owners.

I don't have a business, what do I need cards for?

Here are some suggestions:

• Setting up play dates or meeting other playground parents
• Job hunting, marketing your home-based business
• Getting your band a gig
• A shim for a wobbly table (darn you coffee shop tables!)

• A gift for a new parent or homeowner

How do I order?

How can I pay for my items?

We currently accept checks and PayPal payments. Please let us know if you would like to pay using PayPal so that we can send a request for money form. Printing will not begin until payment has been received in full and you have approved the proof. Checks should be made out to Alison Hunter and mailed to: hello ink, 2515 Ulysses St NE, Minneapolis, MN 55418.

Your prices increased, why?

Have you seen the cost of milk! The cost of printing and shipping items have also increased and so hello ink's prices were adjusted in the Fall of 2007. We still believe you are getting a good value without sacrificing style and personal service.

How do you ship the items?

There is a standard $4.00 shipping fee on all orders up to 300 cards. Cards are shipped via USPS. If you require an expedited order, please let us know at the time of the order so we can arrange for faster service. Insurance is an additional $1.50. If you live in the Twin Cities area, you may pick up your order from us and avoid a shipping fee. Just let us know before making your payment. No refunds are given after we receive payment for this option. Contact us for details.

How long will it be until I receive my order?

Most orders are printed and shipped within one week after approval has been given by the customer and payment has been received. If the printing and shipping process will be delayed for any reason, you will be notified. Please let us know if your order needs to be received by a certain date so we can reasonably accomodate your needs.

Do you sell my information to others?

hello ink is committed to safeguarding the privacy of our customers’ personal data. Hello ink will not distribute your personal information to other companies for any purpose.

Do I get a refund if you spell my name wrong?

There are no returns or refunds unless it is determined to be a printing error perpetrated by hello ink. The customer is responsible for carefully checking the information provided by them at the time of approval of the final draft version of the order.

Can you create a custom design for me?

Don’t see what you like? We'll work with you to design a custom card or business logo. A design fee of $80 will include 3 designs for you to choose from and up to 5 "tweaks" to the final design. Printing and shipping is not included. Please contact us at alison@helloink.com for more details.
